Glenfinnan

Like many places in Scotland, Glenfinnan is a bit hard to describe: It is a valley, a village, part of a lake, a stop along the way, famous location of the famous saga of Harry Potter movies (the famous bridge where the train is moving and the car flies, is located there), or a monument. In this case, I will focus on the monument, as occurred in this place back in 1745 which ended with defeat of the Jacobites and their leader, Prince Charles Edward Stuart, known as Bonnie Prince Charlie. Where this all started is an impressive figure column crowning the monument of Prince. A priori this may not sound the most exciting, but the views from the top of the monument left with their mouths open to more than one.
