The temple of Piazza Mazzini
The synagogue of Piazza Mazzini is located in the centre of Modena. Now the view is quite clear, but it wasn't always so - it used to be surrounded by several other buildings, which were demolished in the early 1900's. Markets are held here every weekend, but the area has to be continuously monitored to prevent incidents of anti-Semitic vandalism, which have been increasingly frequent of late.
