Simonetta Di Zanutto
Designed and donated by Enrico Mattei
The name comes from Caroline Augusta of Bavaria, wife of Emperor Francis I of Austria. This park was created around 1950, with the support of Enrico Mattei, who wanted to celebrate this city, where large deposits of natural gas were found. The area of about 50,000 square metres is a public park full of vegetation, and has become a meeting place for young and old alike. At the park entrance, there is an original statue dedicated to jumping rope.
