Small rocky island in the Magdalena
Caprera is one of the 7 islands of the La Maddalena archipelago off the northern tip of Sardinia, a few kilometers from the port of Palau. You can go across a bridge from the island of La Maddalena. Caprera is famous for its beautiful landscapes, charming beaches and wild rocky island. It's also part of a sea and land nature reserve created in 1991. This small rocky island is also known in history by hosting the famous Garibaldi, one of the fathers of the unification of Italy, at the end of his life. Today we can see his ruined home and tomb.
