Piazza dell' indipendenza sede di numerosi e solenni edifici governativi, proibiti da fotografare se non di straforo, contiene un monumento a Lenin ricco di rilievi e storie sulla rivoluzione, tra le cose più interessanti della grossa piazza si può notare anche la rossa chiesa cattolica voluta da un nobile polacco molto danaroso che la fece costruire in onore dei figli morti.
