Hotel Imparatul Romanilor

Imparatul Romanilor is a luxurious hotel located just a few steps away from the main square, one of the most commercial streets in the city. It has the distinction of being the oldest hotel in the country. It was founded in the mid-sixteenth century and even though the families who've run it have changed over the centuries, the place was never closed except for repairs. In medieval times, it looked different as you could spend the night with your animals. Then on the ground floor there was a stable for horses, with food and water plus a sheltered spot for the night (Sibiu is a very cold place in winter, the snow lasts a long time).
