Nature in a big city

Simon Island does not have palm trees and beaches, but it is an island in the Loire river which crosses the city of Tours. Take the bridge Napoleon to access: this bridge is located west of the main bridge, the Wilson, at the end of the main street Rue Nationale. Easily accessible, the island is large enough that you do not bump into many people. A playground for children and one for skateboarding which leads to a more wild area of the island, decorated with artwork that appears to be done by giant crayons ... Several times, when I felt like going to eat my sandwich is this tranquil place, I have seen birds and "ragondins" (they look like beavers) Digging in the banks.
