Bonaventure Island
Bonaventure Island is an island located in the Gaspésie region in eastern Quebec. It is protected because of its high ecological value, this due to the fact that a huge colony of gannets choose to nest there every year. Also, many gray seals and birds spend the summer there. It is part of the National Park de l'Ile Bonaventure Et Du Rocher Percé, in the village of Percé. The island is accessible by boat which takes in the main spring of Percé. The boat takes you to return to the island to get a chance to see the sea from atop the cliffs of the north. There the alacatreces settle and bask in all of the seals.
The boat is a return to the island to see the sea from the cliffs of the north in which the alacatraces settle and basking seals. I recommend going early in the morning with one of the first ships to if you have time to do the circular route of the island (there are about three hours). This route goes around the island, past the cliffs to get to the viewpoints that are located right next to the gannet colony. The sight of all these birds together is awesome, you can spend hours watching them since they act as if we were not. In the observation area there are tables to eat, in addition to the guard house where you can also buy drink.
