Igreja Matriz de Miranda do Corvo

A Igreja Matriz de Miranda do Corvo é uma bonita igreja inicialmente construída no séc. XV e mais tarde, no séc. XVIII, reconstruída, sendo o edifício que vemos actualmente o resultado dessa reconstrução. Mas acredita-se que muito anterior a isso, ou seja, em pleno séc. XII já existiria um pequeno templo neste local. O patrono desta igreja é S. Salvador e terá sido D. Henrique e D. Teresa, que doaram o templo à Sé de Coimbra. É uma igreja bem simples de apenas uma nave ampla e à cabeceira encontramos o retábulo principal de talha dourada, onde se encontra um crucifixo do séc. XVII. Do meu ponto de vista é a sua localização que a torna especial, pois está situada numa elevação sobranceira à vila, proporcionando paisagens maravilhosas sobre a vila e sobre a Serra da Lousã.
