Fourteenth century
This church was built in the fourteenth century, extended with 2 side chapels in the sixteenth and rebuilt in 1748 by architect Nicolau Nasoni. Its facade is a mix of Baroque and Rococo and is one of this artist's most opulent and decorative facades. The entrance is preceded by an anteroom, a portico with 3 arches and walls covered with decorative tiles blues, characteristic of Portuguese temples. The church has a single nave, 2 side chapels, a chapel topped with a rectangular apse, marked by an imposing triumphal arch and a choir by the front door.
