St. George's Greek Orthodox Church of Toronto

Se trata de un edificio de estilo neobizantino, que en 1976 fue inscrito en la lista de Patrimonio Cultural de la Ciudad de Toronto. En el año 2009 se llevaron a cabo las celebraciones por el 100º aniversario de la Parroquia Ortodoxa Griega de San Jorge en Toronto.

The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George is located in the heart of the University area of ​​Toronto. Although the inauguration of the temple was not carried out until 1938, it was from 1909 that the Greek diaspora in the city began to organize and founded the first Orthodox parish in the capital of Ontario. The site was sanctified by Patriarch Athenagoras, who would later become the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Although photographs are not allowed inside the building (as is often the case in Orthodox churches), it is worth entering and observing the details and the gold leaf coating that adorns practically the entire structure. It is a neo-Byzantine building, which in 1976 was inscribed on the list of Cultural Heritage of the City of Toronto. In 2009 celebrations were held for the 100th anniversary of the Greek Orthodox Parish of St. George in Toronto.
