A cozy church
St Andrews was the center of the Catholic Church in Scotland until the seventeenth century Reformation, when the Calvinist church took over. But you can still see today the remains of the impressive cathedral-monastery, as well as this small, cozy church overlooking the sea. St James' Church has a simple structure inside and out, with a small rectangular nave and a square tower.
