The first baroque building in the city

The best thing about the old center of Luxembourg is getting caught up in the streets, alleys and lanes ;-) and finding hidden little gems. The Rue de la Congrégation is one of those little surprises that attract you by its simplicity, its beautiful facades, because it is small and narrow, like a long tunnel that hypnotically draws you in. And suddenly, wham ... a door opens, and my curiosity about the nice alley leads me to the first of the churches we visited in the city. Better known as The French Protestant Church, it has an amazing story behind its beginnings in 1313, although the current one is more modern, and located in the same place.

It was in 1731 when the first stone of what's considered the first baroque style building was placed. Inside its simple and elegant with remains from tombs of an ancient cemetery. Is it about these unfamiliar streets, if not in a hurry and enjoy the ride ..., find nice jewelry ;-)
