Husavik

Husavik is on the north coast of Iceland, and is a fishing village right at the border of the Skjálfandi Bay. Husavik is frequently referred to as the capital of whales, as whale watching excursions generally end in success. If you want to see a whale, come here! In Húsavík boat trips can be whale watching in the Bay Skjálfandi where they have 98% success to see whales and dolphins. The coast of Husavik, colonized by the Vikings, was the oldest settlement in Iceland. Along the road is the church of Husavik, the Húsavíkurkirkja, a wooden building imported from Norway in 1907. It is open to visitors

During summer.

Town prettier than any thing East, with its colorful houses, its snow-capped peaks even in August, which are reflected in the sea! The main attractions are the excursions that leave from the harbor to the whale watching, or for whale watching! We are not able to do it, because we got there at 18. We fates a stroll along the pier, and in the small town center, where you can visit the Museum of Whales and also a strange and curious museum, the Museum of Icelandic Phallogical! Too bad that when we got to it, they said they were closing ... The museum is open from 12 to 18! We only had time to give a peek at the entrance, and I assure you that the eccentricity is at home! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset as a consolation to the sea!

One of the most beautiful places in Iceland.

One of the most beautiful sites in Iceland, from here boats launch to see the whales. Those who drive these boats know the area to perfection so it will be difficult to return to shore without having navigated among those admirable cetaceans. There is a beautiful campsite very well equipped
