Hunter Valley

Australia is a country that has grown dramatically in recent years in the wine industry. It has greatly increased its vineyard area, and currently produces 13 million hectoliters of wine, exporting 40%. Although it still produces only a third of the amount Spain produces every day it has a lot less cultivated land. Also Australians are gradually introducing more wine into their diet and reducing the consumption of beer. In Hunter Valley, bathed by the river Hunter, some of the best wines are manufactured. It is a valley near the city of Sydney (160 miles north), in the State of New South Wales (New South Wales), where there are numerous wineries (over 50).
