Courtyard can be visited and enjoyed for free
For any villager, Casa de los Balcones will always be part of a tour in La Orotava. I'm sure for all orotavenses when a clueless tourist asks "Please, Casa de los Balcones?" we are full of pride, and with our little bit of English, we show with a big smile characteristic of Tenerife, the way to go. The house marks for villagers the "border" between Villa de Arriba and Villa de Abajo, the historical and the last expansion of the old city. It was completed in 1670 and passed through the hands of noble and military families. Now it is a museum that preserves all the furniture and decorations that have shaped its history.
