A Charming Alternative to Staying inside Yosemite
If you're planning on visiting the southern end of Yosemite, staying in the nearby town of Oakhurst can make just as much sense as staying inside the park. This inn offers a convenient location and better value compared to the park lodging. No problems finding it - there's really only one main road in Oakhurst! The inn itself is comfortable, with a pretty garden outside and lots of seating.
Rooms are nicely outfitted; we had the Country Quilt room, which was perfectly adequate with a queen size bed, TV, and plenty of room to store our things. Clean, comfortable, and quiet - everything we need, especially at an affordable price!
The inn offers free wine in their common room and breakfast (8-10am), but neither worked for our busy schedule. Luckily, it's a quick walk to El Cid, a Mexican restaurant with good food, affordable prices, great margaritas, and fast service.
