Located near Los Angeles in Buena Park, the Howard Johnson hotel chain has a very good quality to price ratio. It includes a spacious room with small kitchen, dining/TV area and a desk, very clean, for only $29 a night, 1/2hr from LA. I recommend it for small budgets.
