If you're traveling in Thailand, staying at one of the Hostelling International hostels doesn't make much sense because the local guest houses and private hostels tend to be better and cheaper. That being said, the Hi Baan Thewet was wonderful. It's a small hostel (only 20 beds), but the people who work there are very friendly and speak very good English. Located in a very quiet area.
