Cozy, yet spacious
We were going to spend the weekend in Alghero, and we were on a bit of a budget. We found a twin room here for 20 euros each, including breakfast. The guesthouse is great. There's a kitchen (no cooking), a very well-maintained shared bathroom, and all the rooms are clean and tidy. It's a little walk from the centre (about 15 minutes) and close to the sea (3 - 4 minutes). From the hostel, you can easily go to the coast. Breakfast was served by the owner's mother, a very friendly and kind lady who we really hit it off with. She'll ask you for your preferred breakfast time on arrival, and she's very flexible.
Breakfast consists of toast, pastries, cereal, coffee, milk, tea and bread freshly brought from the bakery. The rooms are spacious with large closets, and ours had a balcony with two chairs. In addition, you can store food in the kitchen, as well as use the microwave and wash up. It was lovely staying here. On the day we left, we were allowed to leave our bags all day for no extra charge. Without a doubt, if I come back to Alghero, I'll stay here again.
