Hospedaje en Familia
We recently traveled for 3 weeks to Guatemala, and we were surprised by all the beautiful things we saw. The capital is like all the cities in the continent (not worth spending much time there) . We went to Petén to visit the ruins of Tikal (we went by plane because the overland journey lasted 8 hours). The place is breathtaking in its grandeur and majesty, perhaps the magic of the place is that the ruins in the jungle. Then we went to Antigua because they recommended this as the main city of the country for its colonial ambience and tranquility, and Antigua was magical, it was our center to visit other nearby towns and Lake Atitlan and Chichicastenango.
In Antigua we decided to have a closer experience with Guatemalan culture and stayed with a local family who rented rooms to foreigners for a good price with food and took care of us. THeir email is hospedajeenfamilia@yahoo.Com, In Antigua there are many options to eat and no problem to travel safely from one place to another place. .
