I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars just because the photo is very misleading.
This photo is definitely NOT Hooper Park. It's likely the Davis side of Hooper somewhere, but definitely NOT HOOPER PARK!
Hooper Park is wonderful though, it's a very old park that's been there for at leat 100 years, with many large old trees to shade it and a recent overhaul of the playground area.
The bowery is still the old one with a kitchen and large seating area that's about as old as the park. The old restroom building is also very old, as is the first Hooper church house across the street and the old cultural hall that has the old basketball court and stage inside.
Newcomers to Hooper call it the 'White Building' but the original Hooperites know it's the cultural hall.
