Högalids Church

La iglesia Högalidskyrkan se encuentra en la parte oeste de la isla de Södermalm, la cual está justo bajo Gamla Stan, la isla y barrio más antiguo y central de Estocolmo. La iglesia se construyó en 1916 y se acabó en 1923. La iglesia está en una colina en medio de un parque del mismo nombre, Högalidsparken, y se llegan a obtener buenas vistas desde lo alto de cualquiera de sus dos torres. El estilo arquitectónico de la iglesia no está muy claro ya que hay características y rasgos pertenecientes a diversas corrientes artísticas. El edificio entero está hecho de ladrillo rojo. El interior pertenece claramente al neoclacisismo, y se distinguen principalmente dos partes: la gran sala interior, una nave recta y espaciosa, y las dos torres que decoran impresivamente la cara este. La iglesia está orientada en sentido oeste-este. El parque en el que se encuentra la iglesia es casi perfectamente cuadrado y es un sitio muy frecuentado por niños y gente paseando a sus perros. Tiene zonas de juegos para niños y zonas de aseo para los perros. El hecho de ser una colina y haber muchos caminitos sin mucho orden hacen del lugar un sitio agradable donde es posible refugiarse un poco del ruido de los coches o de las altas fachadas de los edificios vecinos.

Högalidskyrkan The church is located in the western part of the island of Södermalm, which is just below Gamla Stan, the island's oldest neighborhood and central Stockholm. The church was built in 1916 and was completed in 1923. The church is on a hill in the middle of a park of the same name, Högalidsparken, and come to get good views from the top of either of its two towers. The architectural style of the church is not very clear as there are characteristics and traits belonging to different artistic currents. The entire building is made of red brick. The interior clearly belongs to neoclassicism, and are distinguished mainly two parts inside the great room, a ship straight and spacious, and the two towers to face this impressively decorated. The church is oriented west to east. The park where the church is located is almost perfectly square and is a hangout for kids and people walking their dogs. It has children's play areas and toilet areas for dogs. Being a hill and have many paths without much order make this a nice place where you can shelter a bit of noise from cars or high facades of neighboring buildings.
