Hipódromo de San Isidro

For those who want to spend a day at the races, the Hipodromo de San Isidro is a good option. Its 148 hectares make it one of the largest the Americas and there is a large variety of trees and plants arranged in a stunning park around the grass track. The spacious grounds invite you to spend a relaxed evening watching the animals parade around before the race begins, and then the atmosphere explodes. There are horse races every week, although the Carlos Pelligrini race, held every December, is one of the most famous. By nightfall the powerful track lighting makes it seem like day, so you can enjoy the atmosphere until late.
