A bit disappointing
I went to Brussels for work recently and stayed at this hotel in the city centre. I was in a single room, so maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed ... for such an expensive and famous hotel, I was expecting more. The room had lime walls, a warm and friendly atmosphere with decorations etc, but the small bathroom was a major flaw.
The luxury touch was there - they gave me a bathrobe and slippers, left a bottle of water on the bedside table - but there wasn't much more to recommend it. For example, the wifi wasn't free, something that I was really frustrated by in the year 2010 in a 4 * hotel. I had a problem when shaving, as the plug did not fit my electric razor and there was only one outlet available in the small bathroom, very poorly placed on the hairdryer stand, so I had to shave "blind".
However, I should note that the service is excellent, and the lobby and bar on the right of the entrance are great to relax and unwind a little. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choices: freshly squeezed natural juices, rich pastries, fried eggs, omelettes made to order, etc. The hotel is located in a very central shopping area of Brussels, with metro and tram stops nearby, but as I said, this is a very expensive hotel, and I'd expect more for the price.
