Picturesque harbor
This picturesque harbor is on the south coast of the Mexican Pacific Ocean in the state of Oaxaca which borders Guerrero. Like all beaches along the ocean, Puerto Escondido has a natural beauty and a wide variety of flora and fauna. The mountain range that crosses the state of Oaxaca corresponds to the Sierra Madre Occidental. It is a small town that has just 20,000 inhabitants but it receives a lot of domestic and foreign tourists who like the natural, beautiful atmosphere. Its hotel infrastructure is still very simple compared to the neighboring Guerrero beaches such as Acapulco and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.
The main attraction of Puerto Escondido is the quiet. It´s beaches are also super enjoyable for the strong surfing waves. There are many different restaurants with typical Mexican food including seafood dishes and of course the typical dishes of Oaxaca. There are also several handicraft markets. It's a great experience to enjoy these beautiful beaches in an enchanting area full of history and legends of the sea.
