Hanging Homes
I thought there were only terraced houses in Cuenca! On my visit to the city of Frias Burgos I stumbled on my way to the stunning terraced houses in the city. Greatly surprised because I did not know there were such buildings, and had only heard about the famous hanging houses of Cuenca ... Due to spacial reasons the city has been built on the edges of the rocks, appearing to be on a cliff about to fall into the abyss. Most of these buildings are made of adobe, tuff, and wood. It is impressive to see them suspended seemingly out of nowhere.
