A hotel that brings you back to childhood dreams

If you go through Dalat and you want to stay in a different hotel, try the Hang Nga Crazy House, or "Crazy House", as it is known. The Crazy House in Dalat is at the same time, an interesting "art gallery" that can be accessed to take a picture and a guesthouse in many rooms, decorated like a tree house. You judge it staying inside or go take a look, and I´m sure it will not leave you indifferent. Entering is like moving to our childhood, the world of "Alice in Wonderland" as a stage: stairs that are "tree trunks" that lead nowhere, glitter walls, large sculptures of giraffes, bears and other animals, and a tiny garden full of lush greenery and colorful flowers, where it is hard to take a step without being surprised, like with a spider web.

Although the construction of this unique structure began almost 2 decades ago, when his architect Dang Viet Nga, daughter of former Vietnamese President Truong Chinh, returned from studying in Moscow. In June 2010, when I I visited it was still under construction. I don´t know if this "small" delay was due to funding problems, a temporary halt in the works (we can not forget that for many years any artistic expression that come out a little of the ordinary had some problems to get ahead in this country ruled under tight communist ideology ... as much as the architect was the daughter of an important political figure) or simply that in recent times has been decided somehow larger. In any event, meet some worker on the course fortunately not remove any charm to the visit could almost say that even reassuring, as this house is completely empty and both "bug" loose ... For my taste it's a little scary!
