One of the most amazing buildings in downtown Minneapolis- truly the most unique- the Guthrie Theater offers so much for a visitor. Designed by Jean Nouvel each window in the building lends itself to a new and unique view of the surrounding city and Mississippi River.
Even if you aren't interested in acting or the theater, the views from the yellow floor are a show in and of themselves! Look out over the stone arch bridge, feel the wind blow and watch the cottonwood seeds blow by as you sit out on the balcony that juts out over the street.
Great theater is what the Guthrie does best- bringing in talent from all over- including Hollywood! Their thrust stage is famous for making the plays one with the audience.
