1 review of Preston Guild Hall

A bit of everything

Excellent

Almost as a rule, the Guildhall is one of the most interesting historical buildings to visit in English towns and cities. But Preston is an exception. If you didn't know that this was the Guildhall, you might think it was a football stadium, basketball court, hockey rink ... only the posters on all sides tell you what this building is! What is the function of the Guildhall here? Almost everything! On the outside you'll find a collection of shops, including the local tourist inforamtion office. Inside is a theater, which also doubles as a convention center, a dance school, and probably more things that I haven't heard of yet.

In terms of history or architecture, it's not worth seeing, but it certainly is busy!
