1 review of Guaraní Esplendor hotel

Hotel that used to be the best hotel in Paraguay

The Hotel Guarani, was in his time the most significant of Paraguay, many great political personalities stayed in this hotel as well as art and entertainment personalities, and it was the meeting place of the highest class in the 70s and 80s, and became the best hotel and the only 5 star hotel in Paraguay. It was found abandoned a long time ago, when the company that went bankrupt in the 90s had left, corroded by neglect, and looted by robbers, over 10 years after its closure it was reopened and refurbished, now it has one corner covered with glass, which gives it a more contemporary look, designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in the mid-50s, started construction in the 60s, was inaugurated in the year 1961 and in the year 1986 it was remodeled to become Hotel and Casino in Guarani, with a theater and a spa.
