Guadalest Reservoir

Looking to the north from the middle of the dam, you can see the entire surrounding area -- the mountains, Guadelest, the other towns in the distance, etc. The views are magnificent. If you turn and look towards the south, you can see the valley of Guadalest and its outflow to the sea. From this perspective, the sea doesn’t look like a giant blue mass, rather a thread of blue light that intertwined from the mouth of the valley to the distance.

The road seems like it dead ends at the dam. If you have time and are traveling by car, you can cross the dam and take the road on the other side.

An exclusive and nostalgic place for adventurers… The lush area with a seemingly endless amount of space to snorkel, scuba, swim, fish (always with a license, of course) or simply take it all in during the summer or winter if you’re up to the challenge.

Hiking along its paths, canoeing and passing along the many turtles that enjoy the lagoon (without touching or disturbing them of course), they make your experience that much more unforgettable.

This is a fantastic place which is situated less than 1 hour away from Benidorm. I must mention that halfway you will also find the fabulous "Fuentes del Algar" I recommend you take fresh water with you and have a shower as we were unbearable itchy.
