Pleasant tour
The north coast of the Dominican Republic extends from the province of Puerto Plata to the province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez, excluding the northeast of the island, this strip is known as the Costa Verde. This pleasant tour is about 140 km long. Most of the trip is via the coastline and combines exuberant nature with the Atlantic Ocean. Amen - green pastures, trees of different shades of the Caribbean Sea, lovely typical houses in wood or cement that are painted in vibrant pastel colors, delicious tropical fruits and other colors that blend in the creativity of the inhabitants of small towns and cities.
To fully enjoy the charm of the tropics, I suggest you start on the road leading from Santiago to Moca, Jamao, Gaspar Hernandez, Rio San Juan and finish the trip in Samana. Compare how the cities are decorated at the whim of their inhabitants. The road is in an acceptable state, there are some bumps but in general it is very enjoyable. Bon voyage!
