Easy walk in the lovely French Alps
An easy walk in the lovely area of the French Alps and the Savoie, a few miles south of Lake Annecy. The mountains are named bauges, we can go from the city of Annecy, but in this case we would have to add 2 hours walking, and start climbing up the Church of the Visitation, which dominates the lake and is an amazing thing to see, then the forest road gets to the Grand Roc. The Annecy tourist office is on the maps for hiking, with the geography of the land, names of the trails, which have GR plus a number, as well as the level of difficulty and the time it will take you to complete the hike. Once we got to the forest of Grand Roc, you can go up the mountain Semnoz, or stand on the shore of the lake to eat, rest, have a swim, etc.
If you climb the mountain, 1700 meters high, it may take about 4 hours, it is on the Great Danne, surrounded by meadows with a lovely view of the valley and other lakes. Do not forget sunblock, and plenty of water, but you can fill up your bottle in the streams, as well. Don´t forget to bring your own food for the trip.
