The square of murals in Reykjavik
For a capital city, Reykjavik is really very small. You can see all that you need in the old town in just one day, and still have time left over to do some shopping. Walking along Laugavegur, the main street, we came across a little square that seemed like it was something from a suburb, but it was right in the city centre. The perimeter of the square was surrounded by abandoned buildings, poorly maintained, and dilapidated, but they were 'embellished' by graffiti murals. Worth a visit - some of the pictures really are beautiful!
