Alternative clothing
Times have been hard since this Galeria Comercial opened in Malaga in the 1970's, and since then, both the street and the mall have been changing with the passage of time. La Galeria Goya is in an old building on Calle Uncibay and was the pioneer of this trade in Málaga. After commercial success in the early 1980's, with the rise in crime, its design was conducive to theft, and was practically abandoned after many of the stores closed. After several decades, it's been practically abandoned. Several merchants have returned to try to renovate it, opening alternative clothing, vintage, beads and costume stores, giving it a very original feeling.
There has also been the Malaga City Council initiative, which supports the opening of new stores (within the business incubator initiative) whose projects, mostly creative, have been selected by the Municipal Institute of Training and Employment and gives them free commercial space for the first year.
