Despite being downtown, and kind of far away from the Strip, The Golden Nugget Casino is a cheaper option and an excellent jumping off point for a Las Vegas adventure. On one side you can see the typical image we've all seen in movies. It's the one with the giant cowboy under a huge dome-like screen. There are casinos and bars in the area, and there's a pool you can't miss out on and the waterslide that goes through an aquarium with a variety of marine species, including sharks.
