Glen Arklet

El valle de Arklet es una zona montañosa, posiblemente un antiguo glaciar que recorre ambas orillas del lago que comparte nombre, Arklet, ya que básicamente el lago se encuentra en la zona más baja de este valle. En parte es esta cordillera montañosa la que separa este lago de otro mucho más grande y famoso, el lago Lomond, al cual se puede llegar andando monte a través. La parte más al sur del lago se puede recorrer por carretera privada, adecuada para todos los públicos. Pero al llegar al final de este si intentamos volver por la parte norte del mismo, lo tendremos que hacer al más puro estilo senderista o montañero. Un valle pequeño pero con vistas muy bonitas, con relativo fácil acceso y que en ciertas épocas del año es más que adecuado para hacer camping, pic-nic o alguna que otra ruta menor. Evidentemente, no en invierno ya que las temperaturas son muy duras y las condiciones requieren equipamiento especial. Tanto la puesta de sol como la salida del mismo, increíble desde este emplazamiento. En una de las imágenes, algo más elevada se puede apreciar la puesta del sol, con el cielo literalmente rosa y con vistas directas al lago Arklet. Naturaleza en estado puro, sin duda.
