Glass Factories

The main reason for our trip to Malta was the well known glass production that takes place there, as we were interested in learning more the methods used to manufacture it. Malta has four factories of artistic glass, three in Ta 'Qali and one on the island of Gozo. In Ta'Qali are the Mdina Glass factories, Valletta Glass and Phoenician Glass. In Gozo, you can find Gozo Glass. The production system uses air blown glass, though some use a torch. The master glassmakers show great professionalism in their accomplishments and have fairly advanced facilities. An admirable thing is the amount of stores that have spread throughout the island to sell the products.
