Once an import, now a local specialty
The English arrived in Menorca (well, basically invaded it) and brought gin with them. Over time, the British left the island but the gin stayed and at Gin Xoriguer, it’s still made the traditional way. In fact, it’s the only distillery on the island and you can see the whole process of making gin in the copper tanks heated by wood fires.
The shop has a large variety of gins which you can try for free. I especially like the “pomade,” a mix of gin and lemonade.
