Who was going to tell me that so popular expression came from the frigid Norwegian lands? Well ladies and gentlemen, there's a legend dating back to the times when the shepherdesses left their homes in the summer to take care of the flocks in the mountains and on returning they were checked to see whether or not remained pure and chaste or not. I assure you that I have been in front of this kind of ring. It is quite small, Norwegian women are thankfully slim... It served to test these pastors, because if they did not fit they were supposed overweight and it was attributed to a pregnancy and therefore virgin at marriage.
