Passeggiando lungo il corso principale di Maiori ho scoperto questo grazioso giardino annesso ad un antico palazzo un tempo dimora dei marchesi Mezzacapo e oggi sede della biblioteca comunale e pro loco del paese. Quello che colpisce sono delle enormi vasche di acqua azzurra molto profonde. Sul fondale si intravedono archi e colonne, quasi come se i sotterranei del palazzo fossero stati riempiti d'acqua. Le vasche sono intervallate da aiuole e piccoli giardinetti. Singolare la costruzione che ospita una mostra in 3D sulla città di Maiori, con archi decorati da conchiglie e pietre marine. Sulla parete nei pressi dell'uscita c'è anche una lapide dedicata a Caruso. Un luogo ideale per passeggiare, leggere un libro o semplicemente godersi un pò di relax .
Walking along the main street of Maiori I discovered this lovely garden attached to an ancient palace once home of the Marquis Mezzacapo and today houses the municipal library and the local tourist board of the country. What is striking are the huge pools of blue water very deep. One can see on the bottom arches and columns, almost as if the underground of the building had been filled with water. The tanks are interspersed with flower beds and small gardens. Singular building that houses an exhibition in 3D the town of Maiori, with arches decorated with sea shells and stones. On the wall near the exit there is a plaque dedicated to Caruso. A great place to walk, read a book or just enjoy a bit of relaxation.
