Terlingua Ghost Town

Driving the River Road near the Rio Grande River, bordering Mexico and Texas, you have to take the time to stop in the Ghost Town Terlingua. Old stone remnant homes are scattered around the area with untold stories to keep secret. The historic cemetery tells the ghost town story and gives insight of the strong people who were able to survive this desert community. Those survivors make it through perseverance and a variety of businesses from a theatre with live music to restaurants and bars to a store offering happiness therapy on the porch. No dogs allowed on the porch, except when we were there
