A nice place to explore

The "blackhouse" is a kind of home that is traditional in the Hebrides. It is a very small building (it usually has just two rooms) made of local stone, with a thatched roof. Until the Second World War, the Hebrides were still full of these buildings, joined together, forming fishing villages. The Blackhouse of Gearannan are the last left standing on the Isle of Lewis, and are the oldest houses in the Hebrides. The village has been perfectly preserved and is now an attraction where you can spend an enjoyable day. If necessary, one of the houses has been converted into a hostel. The village makes
