Gatun Lake is one of the three main reservoirs of the Panama Canal, and serving for the transit of ships from one ocean to another (Pacific and Atlantic). It was created between the years of 1907 and 1913 by the damm of Chagres River. At the time of its creation Gatun Lake was the largest artificial lake in the world. It is 425 km in size. It is an interesting place to visit becuase of the views reflected in the lake.
