A Gaudian surprise
There's a part of Gaudi’s works that goes unnoticed in the official guides and, for some reason, doesn't receive much praise. Sometimes they're simple works of art, other times they’re large buildings or secluded restaurants, but they still encompass that unique know-how of the grand master.
On my route through all the works of art that I consider to be "The Unknown Gaudi," there’s a interesting and simple place, far away from the tourist center of Barcelona, that’s really worth visiting. It fully captures all of the genius the irreplaceable Gaudí had to offer.
The entrance to Finca Miralles is an exaltation of rolling forms and shows off his well-known "obsession" for the naturalistic details and the imitation of mythical animals, like the dragon. You'll see that this detail is a carefully-crafted theme throughout all of his work.
