Lavoir de la Garenne

We should all recall that at one time, washing clothes was the specific job of women! But you won't find any explanations when you visit the Garenne laundry, located at the entrance to the city by the gate Poterne. In fact, the information I found in a place I like for its tranquility, wasn't consistent: some think that the building dates back to the 16th century, others say it was actually built in the 19th century, eventhough women were already there to wash clothes in the creek. Anyway, for the tourist or traveller of today, it remains an enigmatic place, quiet and peaceful, it's worth the stroll
