Caught my attention
These gardens caught my attention in this northern town where Visconde Guedes Teixeira, the illustrious poet, was born. The Jardim da Portuguese Republic is in the vicinity of the City Hall and contains a bust of Fausto Guedes Teixeira that was opened in 1944, the year of his death, and a large pond with a statue in the center as the fountain, all surrounded by flowering plants and some trees (such as palms). It's striking and colorful thanks to spring (see photos), because in winter I'm not so sure how it would look. And finally, as in any garden worth its salt, there's a gazebo and wooden benches
