En el 2001 la Unesco declaró los jardines de Aranjuez como Paisaje Cultural Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Son una serie de bosques y jardines adornados con fuentes y estatuas.
Estan situados junto al río Tajo y al Palacio Real y están formados por cuatro jardines: El jardín de la Isla, del Parterre, del Príncipe y de Isabel II.
El jardín de la Isla es llamado así porque está casi rodeado por el río Tajo.
In 2001 UNESCO declared the gardens of Aranjuez Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site. There are a number of woods and gardens adorned with fountains and statues. They are located next to the River Tagus and the Royal Palace and consist of four gardens: The Garden Island, the Parterre, Prince and Elizabeth II. The Garden Island is so named because it is almost surrounded by the river Tagus.

For its situation next to the Palace of Aranjuez, this garden is probably the most famous and visited Aranjuez. It's gorgeous and a gem, full of fountains and bridges crossing over the river.
