Gangotri: Source of the Ganges

In Gangotri the river Ganges, the sacred Hindu river is born. From mouth of the second largest alpine glacier in the world, after the Karakoram glacier belt, the Ganges storms out. Hindus travel to Gangotri to bathe in the water of the river clean and to purify their karma.
